Executive Search and Selection
Our search and selection methodology encompass the entire process of attracting, assessing, and choosing qualified candidates for roles within your organisation. It involves strategic planning, effective sourcing, thorough evaluation, and a thoughtful onboarding process to ensure the successful integration of new hires.

Below is an overview of our typical process:

Requirement Analysis: The process begins with a thorough analysis of the requirements, including its responsibilities, required skills, qualifications, and other relevant criteria. This forms the basis for candidate evaluation.

Recruitment Strategy: We help to develop a recruitment strategy outlining the methods and channels to attract potential candidates. This may involve utilizing job boards, social media, networking, and other platforms.

Candidate Sourcing: Sourcing involves actively identifying and attracting potential candidates through various means, such as referrals and direct outreach. The goal is to build a pool of qualified individuals.

Interview Process: Shortlisted candidates undergo a pre-agreed interview process. This may include initial phone or video interviews, followed by in-person interviews with hiring managers, team members, or other stakeholders.

Assessment and Testing: Some organizations incorporate assessments or tests to evaluate specific skills or competencies relevant to the job. This step helps in making more informed decisions about a candidate's suitability.

Reference Checks: Checking references from previous employers or other professional contacts is a common practice to verify the candidate's qualifications, work experience, and overall suitability for the role.

Decision-Making: Based on the interviews, assessments, and reference checks, the hiring team makes a decision on which candidate to offer the job. This decision considers factors such as skills, cultural fit, and overall alignment with the organization's goals.

Offer and Negotiation: Once a candidate is selected, the organization extends a job offer. This may involve negotiation of terms such as salary, benefits, and start date.

Talent Advisory and Insights
Our TA&I capabilities will typically work in a few areas:

Market sizing – we will help our clients to scope out opportunities to grow into specific areas before kicking off a recruitment initiative. For example sometimes the budget will only allow for one new sector to grow – it’s important that our client maximises their return on time and investment by gaining a better understanding of the market opportunity. This will typically include information like number of Partners operating in a specific sector or function, the average revenue per Partner in this space, the average client spend and the growth trajectory of the opportunity.

Internal benchmarking – we are linked to an external consulting firm that conducts an array of data-led projects to ensure that internal structures are fit for purpose. This can include a review of KPIs, a review of utilisation, a qualitative exercise on internal culture, an external exercise on perception and the development of both employer and employee brand propositions.

Compensation Benchmarking

Compensation benchmarking is a strategic process used by organizations to evaluate and compare their compensation practices against industry standards and competitors.

Here's a summary of our compensation benchmarking services:

Objective Assessment: Compensation benchmarking involves objectively assessing an organization's compensation structure, including salaries, bonuses, benefits, and other forms of remuneration.

Market Comparison: Organizations compare their compensation practices with industry peers, regional or national averages, and relevant market data. This helps in understanding where the company stands in terms of competitiveness.

Industry Standards: Benchmarking involves referencing industry-specific salary surveys and reports to identify standard compensation levels for similar roles. This ensures that an organization's pay practices are in line with prevailing norms.

M&A support

The consolidation of the Consultancy market has been a key theme in recent times and is showing no sign of slowing down. With our networks at the most senior levels within the global Consultancy market, we can play a key role in identifying gaps in geographical coverage or functional speciality. Our network of leaders of boutique businesses can often expedite the process of building into a sector via individual hires with a strategic bolt-on instead.

Our services include:

Target Screening: Target screening is a strategic process used by businesses to identify and evaluate potential acquisition or partnership opportunities.

Synergy Identification: Identifying synergies between the merging entities is crucial for maximizing the value of the deal. M&A support services help pinpoint areas where operational efficiencies and cost savings can be realized.

Origination:
Simply put, we provide introductions to businesses who are either interested in being acquired, or interested in acquiring a specific set of skills or capabilities.

Process and expectation management:
Much like an individual hire process, it's important that both sides of the transaction are kept informed of the key details that could make or break the deal.

Strategic team lift
From time to time, our clients have asked us to work with them to fill strategic gaps in their capability set. See below for a few examples of how these tend to play out:
  • Functional expansion – a consultancy may have a strong pre-deal or CDD offering, but no post-deal offering. Our client would ask us to find them a small team in the post-merger integration space, often led by one or two Partners, that can plug in to their existing capabilities and compliment them accordingly.
  • Geographical expansion – a US Consultancy may have a strong Life Sciences practice but no footprint in Europe. Given the strength of the European Life Sciences sector, our client would ask us to find them a team to help expand their footprint into relevant locations, likely Switzerland or Germany in this instance.
  • Sector diversification – an obvious example here is in the early 2000’s lots of consultancies had a depth of telecoms experience and project demand – when this work started to slow down over time we saw a strong pivot into the Technology sector. Whilst internal training and the odd hire was working well, the most effective strategy to move at the pace of the change was to pick up groups of individuals with relevant experience to gain an advantage over competition.
